New York visual artist Marcie Bronkar’s collection pays homage to historical period artwork and objects, reinterpreted with a modern twist.
A lifelong passion for color combined with her work as a painter are what drive Marcie Bronkar’s vision and creativity.
As an accomplished artist based in New York City, Marcie draws inspiration from historical period artwork and objects, reinterpreting them with a modern twist that forms the basis of her textile designs. Her collections feature highly stylized patterns and nuanced colorways that pay homage to their historical roots, yet beautifully integrate with today’s more contemporary traditional décor.
We’re delighted to introduce Marcie as one of the newest Featured Artists in the Design Studio™ program. The seven custom textile designs she created are available as drapery, side panels, Roman and roller shades, pillows and fabric by the yard—and include two signature embroideries—August and Grand Fleur.

San Francisco-based textile designer Seema Krish creates patterns borrowed from vibrant cultures around the world and rooted in hand-crafted techniques.
Growing up, Seema Krish took an early interest in art and was influenced by brilliant colors, patterns and textures.
Fast-forward to today, and this San Francisco-based textile designer’s patterns draw inspiration from the vibrant cultures and scenic beauty encountered in her journeys around the world. Rooted in heirloom hand-craft techniques and modern processes, her designs are infused with vivid colors and striking dimensional beauty that delight the senses and make a bold style statement.
We’re excited to introduce Seema as part of the Design Studio™ Featured Artist program. Seema created seven custom, unique textile designs for the collection, including two signature embroideries—Woodlands and Tangle. Available as drapery, side panels, Roman and roller shades, pillows and fabric by the yard, the designs were specially created to coordinate with the full line of Hunter Douglas window treatments, as well as add a distinctive look on their own.

Hunter Douglas has partnered with Bionic®, a mission driven material engineering company that has established coastal recycling infrastructure in developing nations, to fabricate a yarn that is engineered from recovered coastal and marine plastic. This yarn is the key ingredient for Hunter Douglas' new GreenScreen® Sea-Tex screen shade fabric.

NEWSTYLE® SHUTTERS NOW WITH SOFTCLOSE™
Beautiful and functional, NewStyle Hybrid Shutters from Hunter Douglas now have the added convenience of SoftClose Louvers. Similar to a feature found in high-end cabinet doors and drawers, the new SoftClose system allows louvers to close gently and automatically after reaching a predetermined angle.
This proprietary design eliminates the need to sweep your hand up or down the louvers to achieve complete closure, providing you with ease of use and functionality.
